Write it Down
Sometimes, no matter how many ways you try to untangle a problem in your mind, you end up no better than when you started. When this happens, many people find success in working with a journal.
With a pen in hand, it becomes easier to identify, understand and begin to solve the issues you struggle with. Seeing the problem in words gives the problem a shape, a reality that many find easier to understand than a formless, nebulous annoyance. You can even start with writing single words or drawing pictures of how you feel. As you journal consistently, you’ll be rewarded with understanding patterns and tendencies in your life, and you may even learn how to head off problems before they arise.
“With a pen in hand, it becomes easier to identify, understand and begin to solve the issues you struggle with.”
It can be an old notebook, a few sheets stapled together, even a set of index cards – the form itself doesn’t matter. Just pick up a pen and see what inner treasures you can discover.
