We’re all born with spiritual gifts. Did you know, however, that we’re actually invited to “covet” additional ones?

The apostle Paul told early Saints to “covet earnestly the best gifts” (1 Cor. 12:31). “To me, that means that if I notice a brother or sister who magnifies a gift of the Spirit, I am invited to seek that same gift myself,” says Elder Larry R. Lawrence.

Heavenly Father has said His spiritual gifts are given to help us build up the kingdom “so that all may be profited thereby” (D&C 46:12). What gifts would you like to use to help yourself and those around you? The gifts of faith, wisdom, knowledge, healing, teaching others and so many more are waiting for you to accept them. It all starts with your desire and an earnest prayer.
